Bringing Justice Closer to European Citizens
The Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Gdańsk is organizing an international conference devoted to shaping the confidence of European citizens in the justice system – “Bringing Justice Closer to European Citizens”. The conference will be held at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Gdańsk (Jana Bażyńskiego 6, 80-309 Gdańsk) on 25-26 October, 2019.

It should be stressed that the date of the Conference is not accidental, because 25 October marks the European Day of Justice. As a result, the organizers hope that the Conference will provide a fitting occasion to celebrate this holiday.
The conference will include speeches and discussions on, inter alia, the following issues: how to strengthen confidence in the judiciary, whether alternative dispute resolution methods are a factor weakening this confidence, what should be the measures of the quality of the justice system and how to effectively inform citizens about their rights.
We will admit only papers devoted to international, EU, and cross-border problems of civil procedure, however some questions may touch the domestic solutions or historical approach as well, but always with the wider perspective and suggestions.
The official language of the conference is English.
